Airport Transfer In Cappadocia

So you have chosen where to go this summer, and your final destination is Cappadocia. Cappadocia is a region located in the eastern Anatolia (Turkey). This is place full of very high mountains. Summers here are hot and without rain and that’s why many Turkey tour operators have Cappadocia in their offer.

There are so many ways to get there.  You can always travel there by your own car. There is no need for booking, planning transportation nor there is necessary to worry if you’ll be late. From Istanbul it would take you approximately 12 hours to get to Cappadocia, but from Ankara it would take you 5 hours. You can get to Kayseri by train and take a bus or taxi to your final destination in Cappadocia. And, you can also get to Cappadocia by plane.

Travelling through the air is the fastest way to get everywhere. It’s also the most comfortable transport mode. Cappadocia has two main airports, one located in Kayseri and another in Gulsehir. Kayseri is one hour away from Cappadocia center and it’s relatively close to all places located in Cappadocia. Flights for Cappadocia come from one of the Istanbul airports – Ataturk International airport. Flights are really often and regular, you have two departures per day. It’s recommended to take some of the great Istanbul sightseeing tours while you are waiting for the flight in Istanbul.

When your plane touches down, your trip is not over. Now you have bigger question to deal with. How will you get from the airport to your hotel? Popular resorts are not located near the airport, they can even be kilometers away. So, how will you solve this problem? Actually, there are various simple solutions.

First of all – taxi. You can take a cab from the airport to your hotel, but this is expensive way to transport yourself to the resort. As I mentioned, resorts can be kilometers away from the airport, so many taxi drivers will refuse to go that far away. If you have enough money and if you insist enough, they will drive you in the end.

Many airports have their own agencies specialized just for transporting their passengers to their hotel.  Also, many Turkish tour operators can offer you this kind of service. You can see that there is absolutely no need for renting a car or taxing a taxi.

Many companies in Cappadocia specialized for airport transfer in Cappadocia can fit in a certain pattern. Beside the fact that they all do the same job, they even have the same equipment that helps them to do the job. By equipment I mean mini busses. Regular transportation from airport to resorts and hotels is done in these really recognizable busses. There is high competition in this job, so every company is trying to be the best on the market. As a result, you have the best service wherever you go.

If you want to use some of these agencies services, you should previously book them. Aldo there are uncountable numbers of them it’s safer to book your ride, just to be sure that you will have your seat in the bus when your plane touches the ground.

Every reservation can be made online. Also, when you are taking some of the Turkey package tours it may happen that they already have this included in your arrangement.  Online reservation works in two ways. One of them is to fill out electronic forms directly on the company website. Usually, after doing this you will receive a confirmation message that you have successfully booked a ride. Another way to do this is to send an e-mail to the transport company you have chosen. E-mails can be also found on the internet (company websites). This is a slower way to book your ride because it will take a day or two before you get confirmation e-mail back. It can last longer if you didn’t provided all information needed so you have to replay and they have to replay to you again. It’s so much easier if you can book your ride using the first way. If you can’t, you should consider possible prolongations that can occur, so plan and book your ride in time.

If you are sending the e-mail, this is what you should know. In the e-mail you must indicate basic information about you, like name, surname, address etc. Also, you have to indicate from where your plane is taking of, at what time, where he will land and what is the time planned for the arrival. It’s recommended that you specify flight number, because every single plane and a route have their own unique code. That’s how you will be sure that the bus won’t find you. Besides this, you have to indicate how many people are travelling – how many seats you want to book. Also, it’s recommended to indicate basic information about other passengers, just in case. When you get there, a person with a table and your name written on it will wait for you.

Everything described also works backwards. You have to call the agency and book your ride a few days before you plan to leave. There are some differences between going to and from the airport. When you go to the airport, the mini bus will pick you up at your hotel minimum 2 or 3 hours before your flight lands. You will arrive at the airport approximately one hour before the flight departure so you can have time to check in and grab a snack at the airport.

Charged fees are different from a company to company, but their usual range is 10-25 euro per person from or to the airport.
